Mixed Nut Butter

 

Make the creamiest nut butter dress your favorite foods from bread to porridge to salads. The possibilities are endless.

Ingredients:

454g or 1lb of your favorite nut mix

Pinch of fine sea salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375˚F.

  2. Spread the nut mix in an even layer on a parchment-lined or silicone mat-lined baking sheet.

  3. Bake for 5 minutes. Alternatively, you may toast the nuts in a clean stainless steel or cast iron skillet for 2 to 3 minutes to release their natural oils.

  4. Set aside to cool for 15 to 20 minutes until slightly warm to the touch.

  5. Place the nuts in a clean, oil free food processor, together with a pinch of fine sea salt and process for 5 to 10 minutes until ultra smooth or to preferred textural consistency.

  6. Scrape down the insides of the processor with a spatula to ensure every bit is ground and store in an air-tight container.

  7. Store in the fridge to maintain their freshness and flavour.
