Gambian Okra Soup: “Superkanja”
Gamabian Okra Soup also know as superkanja, one of my favorite dishes to make since childhood. This one in particular is made with a plant-based approach and without palm oil. It’s perfect to serve hot with rice, fufu or boiled plantains (my other favorite 😊 ).

Groundnut Soup also know as Domodah in The Gambia and Peanut soup in other parts of the world is a very heart warming dish. Typically this delicious soup is made with protein sources like beef, chicken or fish but in this video I'll be replacing those proteins with red lentils for a no-fuss plant-based approach.
Nyambeh Nyebeh (Cassava and Beans)
Nyambeh Nyebeh is a traditional Gambian dish. “Nyambeh” means Cassava and “Nyebeh” means beans making this a mainly Cassava and Bean Dish! Typically the cassava and the sweet potato are eaten boiled together with the mashed beans and a simple yet a tasty spicy onion gravy as well as with fried fish.
