Coconut Limeade Drink

This is a 2-ingredient coconut limeade, a natural elixir that is sure to boost up your energy levels before and after a workout since coconut water is widely known as nature’s gatorade. I like to think of that as a natural energy replenishment for anytime of the day.

Ingredients

675ml fresh coconut water from 2 to 3 matured coconuts

2 key limes of 30ml key lime juice

Directions:

  1. Use a hammer to break open the coconut over a clean bowl to harvest the coconut water.

  2. Strain the coconut water with a sieve to remove any solid pieces.

  3. Cut the key limes in half and squeeze the key lime juice into the coconut water.

  4. Stir and serve at once or pour into a jar and chill in the fridge.

Notes:

  • This coconut limeade is full of antioxidant properties and perfect to rehydrate with after a sweaty workout to refuel your electrolyte and mineral levels.

  • Many times the sweetness of the coconut water is just right so if you are staying away from added sugar, this is a phenomenal drink to add to your meal planners especially that it requires only 2 ingredients and no juicer
